The Vision: Our client wasn't just looking for a beautiful new build — he wanted his kids to feel completely at home the second they walked in. That's a different challenge than making something look good. New construction can feel a little stiff, a little showroom-y, and that's exactly what we needed to avoid. The goal was warmth and ease — the kind of feeling a house usually only gets after being lived in for years.
The Approach: We managed the design of this home from the ground up — flooring, cabinetry, tile, paint, all of it — making sure every piece felt like part of the same story instead of a list of separate decisions. Working alongside the builder and architectural team, we leaned into the clean lines and warm textures that make modern farmhouse style feel timeless rather than trendy. Once those bones were in place, we brought in furnishings that softened the space and gave it some life. Honestly, our north star through the whole project was pretty simple: would this feel like home to a kid showing up for the weekend?
The Outcome: What we ended up with is a house that feels lived-in and loved, not brand new. It's built for connection — a place where family time actually happens, not just a pretty backdrop for photos.
