As in all things in life, no one person can create magic alone. So, we would like to introduce you to the amazing talent on your project. Throughout the process you will most likely receive emails from more than one member from our team. Because of this, feel free to familiarize yourself with our roles/responsibilities, in case you have questions/concerns during the process. Any of us will be happy to assist you with information, and/or resources, as needed.
LEAD DESIGNER
As the lead designer for all projects at DDLLC, it is my obligation to bring your imagination to life! Over time, I have learned that it is not only my job to come up with creative solutions to your dilemmas, but to create THE solution for YOUR home. By intensely listening and asking thoughtful questions, my objective is to read between the lines and to design spaces you never knew you deserved.
And for most projects, you and I could be in contact frequently. However, please note, I cannot manage this alone. Each of my team members will be vital in keeping us on track, in retaining multiple sets of eyes on our teams and vendors, and in keeping our processes organized and efficient.

OPERATIONS COORDINATOR
As the Operations Coordinator, I will be in charge of properly managing your on-boarding process, along with formal contracts. By this point, you will mostly likely have already received messages from me. Additionally, it will be my job to assist with procurement and quality control of your products/ construction. Lastly, throughout your project's lifespan, I will assist in collecting, filing, and organizing your documents and installation. Of course, most of this will be behind the scenes, however, I may pop up every-so-often with requests for additional information, so don't be surprised!
And as we get closer to your final furniture delivery, I will be sending weekly updates in order to keep you informed of our timeline and I'll be there to schedule and oversee the installation of your new beautiful home!!

ARCHITECT / CAD SPECIALIST
As the architect for DDLLC, it is my job to act as the technical designer for all projects. I use AutoCAD software, and other 3D photorealistic renders, to create high-quality design drawings for building construction and project creation.
Generally, I'm brought in early on projects, collecting accurate field measurements and documenting the existing spaces, during our Trade Day. It is my job to produce architectural construction documents that we provide to our contractors, some of which may include 'as is' plans, elevations, furniture layouts, etc.
I may seem shy at first but feel free to say hello! I'm sure we'll meet soon!
PURCHASING AGENT / PRODUCT SPECIALIST
Hi there! My name is Katie and I was previously the Product Specialist for House of DuVäl and then moved to the DuVäl Design team as their Purchasing Agent.
I am responsible for overseeing our procurement processes: managing our vendor accounts, working with suppliers to order and ensure the delivery of the correct products to the correct places on time, and working with the team to ensure no detail is left behind.
Although I do not usually get to meet our amazing clients, don't be surprised if you receive an e-mail or phone call from me checking in to make sure everything is perfect and better than expected! But don’t worry, your time is valued and appreciated, and I will only reach out if absolutely necessary. :)
PROJECT MANAGER
Hello, my name is Amir! As the Project Manager, I will be the one who helps bring everything together behind the scenes once your project moves into the construction phase. Think of me as your go-to person for all the details that turn plans into reality.
I will work closely with you to map out timelines, schedule installations, and make sure everything is moving forward smoothly. For some projects I will be on-site regularly, checking in on progress and making sure what’s happening in real life matches what our design team has envisioned.
Communication is a big part of what I do—I act as the bridge between you and our team, keeping you updated, answering questions, and making sure you always feel in the loop and supported.
My goal is simple: to make this part of the process feel organized, collaborative, and as stress-free as possible, so you can stay excited about watching your space come to life.

DESIGN ASSISTANT
Zayyan
As a Design Assistant, I work closely with DuVäl and the design team to help bring each project from concept through completion. A lot of my role happens behind the scenes, making sure the details are organized, documented, and moving forward as the design develops.
I help with sourcing furniture, materials, and finishes, preparing presentations and design boards, coordinating with vendors, and keeping project information and specifications up to date. I also assist with orders, timelines, and the many smaller details that go into making sure the overall design comes together as intended.
You may see me involved at different stages throughout your project, whether I’m joining a meeting or site visit, helping with selections, coordinating details, or working with other members of our team. My involvement may shift as the project progresses, but my role is ultimately to support DuVäl and the design team and help keep everything organized and moving in the right direction.
BUSINESS ADVISOR / STRATEGIST
I originally joined the team through Fairfax Kitchen Cabinets, where I helped oversee cabinetry design, drawings, procurement, and the relationships that helped grow that side of the business. Now that FKC has been sold, I’m off to my next adventure with the team—helping oversee the continued growth and expansion of House of DuVäl.
My focus now is helping HOD grow from a furniture collection into a larger, more established brand. I work behind the scenes on everything from operations and vendor relationships to showrooms, retail partners, product launches, and all the moving pieces that come with expanding the brand across the country.
While most of my time is now dedicated to House of DuVäl, I’m still very much part of the DuVäl Design family. You may see me pop in from time to time, especially for installations when I’m able to lend an extra hand.
And, of course, part of my job will always be keeping DuVäl on track. Some things never change. :-)
PHOTOGRAPHER / VIDEOGRAPHER
As the photographer for DDLLC, it is my job to capture the essence of what we create! I strive to offer visual insights into our team, our design processes, and our projects, through photography, videography, and social media. My intention is to give our clients insight into the authenticity of our personalities, our quirks, but also our accomplishments and successes!
Generally, my work is seen here on the website and via social media. However, when you get the chance, feel free to see what we've created on DuVäl's Kips Bay reveal = Click Here. Also, you can watch my directorial debut for DD with the Designers Dish Full Episode!
Although they tend to keep me hidden, it is possible that you and I may meet around the time of the photoshoot of your beautiful new home, or possibly while filming some behind-the-scenes moments of your installation. I look forward to capturing your new space!
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Chieh-En
As the Social Media Manager, I help tell the story of DuVäl Design and share the work happening across the firm. I work closely with DuVäl and the team to capture projects, the design process, installations, events, product launches, and some of the behind-the-scenes moments that bring the brand to life.
Because my role touches different parts of the firm, you may see me in and out of projects from time to time. I may join the team for a site visit, installation, photoshoot, or simply stop by to capture content as a project progresses. I’m not necessarily involved in the day-to-day design or management of each project, so my involvement may vary depending on what’s happening and what the team needs.
I also manage our social media presence, create and schedule content, capture and edit photos and video, and help make sure what we share feels consistent with who we are. My role is really about documenting the work, capturing the process, and helping share the story of DuVäl Design as it continues to grow.
DESIGN PARTNER
As a New York–based Design Partner, I work alongside DuVäl and the design team exclusively on our interior design projects in New York. I serve as a local extension of the team, helping make sure the design vision is carried through from the planning stages to execution.
While I support the design process, much of my role is focused on project management and coordination. I help oversee what’s happening locally, coordinate with contractors, vendors, installers, and trades, attend site visits, monitor project progress, and help make sure information is communicated between everyone involved.
Because I’m based in New York, I’m also able to be on the ground when DuVäl or other members of the team aren’t physically in the city. You’ll likely see me throughout different stages of your project as I help manage the day-to-day details, address questions as they arise, and keep things moving forward.
Ultimately, my role is to help bridge the design team and the work happening on site, making sure the details are being executed as intended and that you have a consistent DuVäl Design presence here in New York.
BOOKKEEPING
Well, hello there! We have the pleasure of working on the finances for the company, along with helping set strategic goals for our company's future trajectory. It is our goal to run an honest, ethical practice while helping the company remain accessible and profitable. It takes a lot of work and effort to keep a clear focus on the financial health of a business. And thankfully, DuVäl is open to ideas and concerns that will maintain and benefit his business overall.
While we will be fully integrated into every aspect of the financials of the business, sending invoices and collecting funds, unfortunately, we will not get the pleasure of meeting our clients! It is truly the downfall of our position. But we do look forward to Markus capturing the end results, whether in an image or on film.
